How to read the screen

1-1 Summary at the top

Where

Top of the Home screen

What you see

Below Last 7 days, a big number shows “items recorded in the last 7 days / total items”.

1-2 Timeline

Where

Middle of the Home screen

What you see

The most recent records are at the top. Items recorded on the same day share one dot on the vertical axis. The spacing between dots shows the gap between dates. Items you have never recorded are grouped separately below the divider.

Good to know

By default, each item shows only its last record as one line. To see earlier records too, see Settings > Show past records on Home.

What you see

You see the item name, the category (emoji and name), Today or the number of days since on the right, and the date below it.

Good to know

• A ring on the dot on the axis means that day's record has a photo or a note attached.
• The item whose last record is the oldest shows its name a little larger.
• When Show time is on, things you did today show elapsed time instead of Today, such as <30m, <1h, or “N hours ago”, and it updates on its own as time passes.

2 When there are no items

Where

How

Type the name of what you want to record and press Done (Return) on the keyboard.

Result

A new item is created, and the first record is made at the current time.

3-1 Find

Where

How

Tap the input box and type.

Result

The timeline is filtered as you type. It searches item names, category names, and category emoji.

Good to know

• Once there is text, a Clear button appears on the right. Tapping it clears the search and lowers the keyboard.
• Dragging the list lowers the keyboard.
• The input box takes up to 50 characters.

3-2 Record with the keyboard's Done key

How

Type a name and press Done (Return) on the keyboard.

Result

• If no item has the same name, a new item is created and 1 record is made at the current time.
• If an item with the same name already exists, no new item is created and a record at the current time is added to that item. Names that differ only in upper and lower case count as the same name.

Good to know

If several items share the name, the record goes to the one recorded most recently. Right after recording, a notice bar slides up at the bottom of the screen (see “The notice bar after recording” below).

4 Create one more with the same name

Where

The very bottom of the timeline when you've typed a name in the input box

How

Tap “+ Add 'name'”.

Result

Even if an item with the same name exists, one more new item is created and recorded at the current time.

Good to know

If no item matches the search, only this line is left in the timeline.

5 Tap to open the detail screen

Where

How

Tap briefly.

Result

The detail screen for that item opens.

Good to know

If you were searching, the search text is cleared when you come back.

6 Long press to record now

Where

An item line in the timeline (including lines for items never recorded)

How

Press and hold the line.

Result

A record at the current time is added without a confirmation dialog. You can record several times on the same day.

Good to know

If you pressed by mistake, use Undo on the notice bar that slides up right away. If you were searching, the search text is cleared.

7-1 The notice bar

Where

It slides up right after you record, where the bottom tabs are. The input box stays in place.

How

Tap a button, or leave it alone.

Result

It closes on its own after 6 seconds.

Good to know

• Drag the bar down or swipe it down quickly to close it right away. Tapping the bar doesn't close it.
• It isn't shown while the keyboard is up or when you go to another tab.
• This bar doesn't appear when you create an item with Add item on the Catalog screen.

7-2 Undo / Add category

How

Tap it.

Result

• If the item has a category, you see Undo, and tapping it deletes the record you just made.
• If there is no category, Add category appears in that spot, and tapping it opens the category picker sheet (see “Choosing a category” below). When you close the sheet, the notice bar closes too.

Good to know

You can't cancel a record from this bar for an item without a category. Delete that record on the detail screen (see “The record menu”).

7-3 Add photo or note

How

Tap it.

Result

The photo and note sheet for the record you just made opens (see “The photo and note sheet” below).

It opens from the notice bar or from a record line on the detail screen. This is where you attach photos and a note to a single record.

8-1 Sheet header

Where

Top of the sheet

What you see

You see this record's date and Today / Yesterday / “N days ago”.

Good to know

You can't change the date or time on this sheet. Change the time from the record menu on the detail screen.

8-2 Note

Where

The field that says Note

How

Tap it, type, and tap Save.

Result

The note is saved and the sheet closes.

Good to know

A note can be up to 300 characters. Photos are saved the moment you choose them, so Save is the button for the note.

9 Add photo

Where

The Add photo line on the sheet, or the + at the end of the thumbnail row when there are photos

How

Tap it, then choose Take a photo or Choose from library.

Result

• Take a photo: take one photo with the camera and go to the Edit photo screen.
• Choose from library: pick several photos at once, up to the remaining slots, and swipe through them one by one on the Edit photo screen.

Good to know

• A single record can have up to 10 photos. When there are 10, the + disappears.
• Photos taken with the camera are also saved to the '언제했지' album in your device's Photos app. Photos chosen from the library are already in the album, so they aren't saved again.
• If saving to the album fails, you see Couldn't save to your device album. It's saved in the app.

10-1 The large photo area

Where

The middle of the sheet, when there are photos

How

Swipe sideways or tap.

Result

Swiping shows the next photo in the same record. Tapping opens it large in full screen. In full screen you can only swipe sideways (see Catalog screen > “Full-screen photo viewer”).

Good to know

When there are 2 or more photos, a number shows which photo you're on.

10-2 Delete photo

Where

The × at the top right of the large photo area

How

Tap it, then tap Delete in the confirmation dialog.

Result

After the Delete this photo? / The original will not be deleted. dialog, only the photo inside the app is deleted. The photo in your device album stays.

Good to know

Right after deleting, Photo removed and Undo appear in the sheet. Thumbnails have no delete button.

10-3 Reordering photos

Where

The thumbnail row below the large photo area

How

Tap a thumbnail, or press and hold and drag it.

Result

Tapping shows that photo in the large area. Pressing and dragging changes the order.

Good to know

Photos are shown in this order, and the first one is the cover photo.

10-4 When a photo can't be found

Where

Result

If the photo file inside the app is missing, you see Can't find this photo. On devices where iCloud isn't available, The photo is still in the 언제했지 album in Photos is shown too.

Trimming photos and stamping the date

When you take or choose a photo, the Edit photo screen opens right away.

11-1 Photo position and size

How

Drag with one finger, or pinch in and out with two fingers.

Result

The frame stays put and the photo moves. Only the part inside the frame is saved. You can zoom in up to 8x.

11-2 Swiping through several photos

Swipe the photo all the way to the left or right edge, or flick it.

Result

You move to the next or previous photo. Next to the title, you see which photo you're on.

Good to know

Photos you haven't swiped to are cropped around the center at the current ratio.

The chips below the frame: Free · 1:1 · 4:5 · 9:16 · 16:9

How

Tap one.

Result

The shape of the frame changes.

Good to know

When you change the ratio, all the positions you set return to the center.

12-1 Stamp date

Where

The switch at the bottom of the Edit photo screen

How

Turn it on and choose Date or Date & time.

Result

When you save, the date is stamped onto the photo as text.

Good to know

It's off at first, and the app remembers the last setting you used. If you choose Date & time for a photo whose time is unknown, it's stamped as 00:00.

Tap it, then choose Change date or Change time.

Result

For the date, you can pick anything from 1970 to today in the date picker. For the time, pick it on the Pick a time wheel (see “The time picker wheel” below).

Good to know

When you pick a time, the format changes to Date & time.

12-3 Done and cancel

Tap Done, or go back.

Result

Done applies the crop and the date stamp and saves. Going back saves nothing.

Choosing a category

It opens from the category label on the detail screen and from Add category on the notice bar.

Tap Uncategorized or a category line.

Result

The item's category changes and the sheet closes. The category currently set is in bold.

Good to know

The sheet rises to a little over half the screen, and you scroll inside it.

Tap it, enter an emoji and a name, and tap Save.

Result

A new category is created and is set right away on the item you were viewing.

Good to know

For details on the creation dialog, see Settings > “Manage categories screen”.

13-3 Edit

Result

The category management screen opens. Go back to return.

Good to know

Deleting or reordering categories is done on the category management screen (see Settings > “Manage categories screen”).

The item detail screen

It opens when you tap an item line on Home. It also opens from the Photos, Calendar, and Category tabs of the Catalog screen.

Result

Switch how the records are shown, between a list of lines and a calendar.

Good to know

The view you choose carries over to other items. At first it's Timeline view.

What you see

Records are split into Last 7 days and a group of earlier records. Each line shows the date, time, a one-line note, and photo thumbnails.

Good to know

• If there are no records in the last 7 days, you see No records in the last 7 days.
• When two records are 14 or more days apart, the number of empty days is shown.
• The time is shown only for records whose time is known, and only when Show time is on.

Use ‹ › to change months and tap a date.

Result

Days with records get a dot. Tapping a date shows that day's record lines below.

Good to know

• You can only go forward as far as the current month.
• If there are no records that day, you see Nothing recorded on this day.
• Records with an unknown time show Time unknown.
• Tapping and long pressing a record line work the same as in timeline view.

16 The record menu

Where

The ⋯ (More) on the right of a record line, or a long press on the record line

Tap ⋯ or press and hold the line.

Result

You see Change time, Remove time, and Delete record.

Good to know

Remove time appears only for records that have a time.

17-1 Change time

Tap it, choose a time on the wheel, and tap OK.

Result

That record's time changes. The date stays the same.

Good to know

You can't pick a time later than now (You can't pick a time later than now).

Turn the AM/PM, hour, and minute wheels and tap OK. To back out, tap Cancel.

Result

The time you chose is applied.

Good to know

If you open it for a record with an unknown time, it starts from the current time for today's records and from 12:00 for past records.

18-1 Remove time

Tap it.

Result

That record's time is removed without a confirmation dialog, leaving only the date (Time unknown).

18-2 Delete record

Tap it, then tap Delete in the Delete this record? dialog.

Result

That record is deleted and Record deleted appears.

Good to know

You can undo it with Undo on the message that pops up.

19 Record now

Where

The large button at the bottom of the detail screen

How

Tap it.

Result

A record at the current time is added, and Recorded at the current time appears briefly with Undo.

Good to know

You can record several times on the same day. If there are records today, the button shows how many times you've recorded today.

20 Add another date

Where

The text button below Record now

How

Tap it, pick several dates on the calendar, then tap the “Add N dates” button below.

Result

Records without a time are added at once for every date you picked.

Good to know

• Legend below the calendar: Circle = chosen · Dot = already recorded · Faded = future
• You can't pick days that are already recorded or future dates.
• To add a time later, see Change time above.

21-1 More options menu — Edit name

Where

How

Tap ⋮ → Edit name, change the name in the What do you want to track? field, and tap Save.

Result

The item's name changes.

Good to know

A name can be up to 50 characters.

21-2 More options menu — Delete item

Where

Tap ⋮ → Delete item, then tap Delete in the confirmation dialog.

Result

The item and all its records are deleted, and you return to Home. Item deleted appears.

Good to know

While that message is showing, tapping Undo brings the item back. Once the message is gone, you can't undo it.
